Moto E, Moto G 4G have SD card slots. What about the X+1?

Will the successor to the Moto X have an SD card slot?

I doubt they will...

As long as they do not use it as an excuse to gimp the internal storage, an SD card would be a great option to have. I use mine just for media and backups. I want my app install data on the internal storage, but there is no reason not to have media, documents, random files, ect on an sd card. It gives you another option for transfer to other devices and is not lost if your phone fails.

For someone like me who is paranoid about cloud reliability and security, having stuff backed up on physical media is a must.

I was a Motorola fan and bought numerous Moto devices.
They lost me with the last Droid and X1 lines.
No removable storage was a deal breaker for me.
My previous Moto phones were, DroidX, Droid Bionic, Droid Razr, Droid Razr Maxx, Droid Razr HD.
I bought a Samsung S4 instead of the last Droids. If Motorola/Lenovo wants me back:
Keep the same build quality as my Droid Razr HD.
Give me removable storage.
Give me a Snapdragon 80x series processor.
Give me an HD (1080p) screen no greater than 5".
Give me a 2500mAh + battery.

If they do that, I'm lining up.
I'm holding out to spend my full retail money on a phone that blows me away.
I'm not willing to give up unlimited data.
