HOLD ON, the budget version has NFC but the premium version doesn't? NFC is virtually useless without w fingerprint scanner because there's very few uses for NFC other than mobile payments? This is annoying.

But if the NFC is in the battery perhaps the G4 Plus has it but not enabled? Unlikely but you never know.

I kinda want one now.

See I think if you have an android wear watch with NFC you should be able to use it for mobile payments if your phone doesn't have NFC

It's removable in our UK version, and yes it has NFC.

It was the selling point over the others plus better battery.

BTW the battery life on the G4 Play is *really* impressive. It's by far the best I've seen on a smart phone. Even after a day of very heavy use the battery only falls to 50% for me. On a typical day, the battery still shows 70-80% when I go to bed, and I'm a fairly heavy user.
My Z play is just as impressive.

Her G4 play battery life was the selling point on me getting the Z play.

Nice! I've been looking for a decent phone to recommend, and removable battery is definitively a plus!
