Moto G4 6.0.1 not retaining Bluetooth connections

I had no problems connecting my Moto G1 to three Bluetooth devices but my new Moto G4 will not retain the connections. I have had to boot in safe mode to pair the devices. I can then do a normal boot and play Spotify through the Bluetooth devices. But the following day, although the devices are listed in the Bluetooth section, they do not connect, even when trying to pair again. I've tried a network reset and although I could connect and play following this, the connections were lost again the following day.

Help!!

Wiping the cache seems to have worked. I just hope the fault doesn't reappear tomorrow.
