Moto G5 plus Turbo Power charger - nor very "turbocharged"

I bought a brand new Moto G5 Plus last week and its Turbo Power charger doesn't charge very quick...I have a charger from my Nexus 5 phone that charges the G5+ faster.
The Moto G5+ TurboPower charger has 3A output and the LG Nexus 5 charger has a 1.8A output...
What's the deal here???

Is it maybe the cable you're using? Some smaller gauge cables may not offer the same voltage.

When you plug it in, does the phone give you a message that it is "Turbopower Connected" at the bottom of the lockscreen?

BTW, this is just Quickcharge 2.0 technology, so if you have one of those chargers (or above), try it instead.

I'm using the original Motorola charger that came with the phone. It does say "Turbopower connected" and until it reaches 100% sometimes it estimates 1 hour from 50% or less...maybe the phone needs to adapt to it?
