Definitely sold on the purple but yeah, gonna have to do some thinking on the ebony.

There is now an unboxing on YouTube with an ebony back on a pure edition (2014 Motorola Moto X (Pure/Ebony Edition) Unboxing and First Impressions!). Looks a lot better in the video, still wish it had more of the black and a little less of the reddish grain.

Same.

I went with ebony, white, and blue trim. Since I got the white front my delivery isn't until late October, so if I don't like it I'll probably send it back and go with a plastic solid color or by that time we should know more about the Nexus 6/X and I might get that.

New to AC, pulled the trigger on a plain jane black on black Moto X. Walked right into Verizon and picked one up Friday morning. After a few days with it, I can honestly say I love this phone. Upgraded from an Ultra. This phone is wicked fast compared to it. Battery is ok. Lasts almost the whole day with my usage.

Now that some are receiving their phones... It would be nice to see pics of your actual designs. I'm especially curious to see the different variants of leather and wood other than digital images from motomaker

Would you say that picture of your cognac back is true to what it looks like in person? I have seen 3 different versions of "cognac" so far. Some look reddish, dark brown, etc.

In person it is less shiny, maybe a tick darker and the AT&T logo is not as pronounced. I wouldn't describe it as reddish at all. Rich maybe, but not reddish. It looks and feels like quality leather. Not cheapy. Also, the pictures I've seen make the leather look kinda "puffy". It's not puffy.

Just got it a couple hours ago. It looks amazing! The navy looks a little lighter than I remembered from my old Navy Moto X. The orange ring on the back looks really nice, and I'm glad the accents on the front look better than expected. Overall very pleased

Thank you very much for the help. I have one more question...these are the different congnac variations i have seen. Can you tell me which one looks closest to what it looks like in person? I am really torn between natural and cognac and have no way of seeing them in person.
