This is what I opted for, I didn't think I'd like the bamboo until I saw it. It have a very nice feel too.
My congac, white, and gold Moto X finally arrived! She's a beauty. My Droid DNA's camera cannot accurately depict the color of the leather. The most accurate I could get would be the 3rd picture, but it is a little less red. The phone came with a small chip in the metal frame, just below the headphone jack. Also, my camera app is upside down and auto-rotate does not work. So, I might have to exchange it.

That's not a chip. It's part of the frame's design. Not sure that it's a microphone (seems too small) but may have something to do with tool access for assembly/dis-assembly).
Upon inspection of some other pictures, it appears you are right. Anyone know anything about the screen rotate?
That's probably not a chip. It's a microphone.

It's active in all the settings, the screen just won't rotate when I turn the phone. Hopefully it is just software and not a faulty accelerometer.
Well, I dropped my phone for the first time today, and now the screen rotation works. I guess one of the accelerometer axis was stuck.

Did you keep yours, or did you exchange it? Also, when did you place your order? Thanks in advance!
Here's mine. Got it today!

Thanks for the feedback, chris20nyy. I managed to never drop my Nexus 4 so (knock on bamboo), so here's hoping I do OK with the Moto X!

Mine arrived! I'm noticing the trim around the logo has a slight edge to it, making it feel kind of sharp to my fingertip. Sliding a finger nail across the bamboo catches on the edge of the trim instead of falling smoothly into the dimple. Anyone else feel this?
Can't help but think my bamboo is slightly thin or the trim ring is slightly tall (maybe 25 microns). I'm wondering if this feeling is common and by design and I just need to get used to it.

I have the Walnut, black front, dark gray trim and the back is starting to lift. So I am getting an exchange, probably just going to go with plastic because I have noticed the same as others where the trim and the wood do not meet as seamlessly as the plastic backs and it annoys me. However, my question is the trim pieces on the front of the phone. My dark gray trim pieces are sharp like a file with little lines engraved in them, however my buddy who got the blue trim has smooth trim pieces on the front of his phone. Does anyone know if this is due to the color? Meaning are certain colors smooth and certain colors not? Does anyone have the dark gray trim that is smooth?
Thanks for any info!
