Hi all,
I just got my Moto X 2014 yesterday, and love it, with one exception (so far). The time on the phone is off by 7 hours when I have the automatic time and date set. I'm in PDT, and the time shown is 7 hours later (so equivalent to GMT). Sometimes, the time shown actually flips between the correct time and the GMT time for awhile, but always ends up settling on the GMT time.
Here's what I've done to troubleshoot so far:
--Enabled and disabled the automatic time and timezone settings
--Enabled and disabled wifi
--Turned the phone off and on
--Did a partition wipe (at the suggestion of Motorola tech support)
--Booted into safe mode to see if any of the apps might have been causing the problem.
None of these has helped, though the last two each seemed to fix it, as the phone didn't revert to the wrong time for 3-5 minutes after I had done those.
In practical terms, this isn't the biggest deal in the world, since I can just set the time manually, but it's really bugging me. Some research and a comment from Motorola tech support suggests that this is a none problem with KitKat, and will be fixed in Lollipop, but I'm not sure I believe that.
Any suggestions?
