Long day. A 30 min video call, quite a few phone calls. Mostly LTE coverage. Minor WiFi.

I don't know how some people are getting 5+ hours of on screen time.. I have never gotten to 4 hours with either of my moto x's.. Or galaxy s4 or s3. The battery said 4% in these screen shots.. But the phone shut itself off immediately after I took the 2nd shot..

This was browsing Facebook, Pulse News app, and playing dice with buddies, and a few text messages.. And listened to streaming music via google play music on a 15 min car drive.

Are you using the Facebook app? Because I hear it is notorious for killing phone batteries, not just the X. Users are switching to Web only. Just a guess.

I am using the app... Here is the stats on it today.
It doesn't appear to be anything bad.. But I'm no expert on that.

I would still uninstall it for a little while just to see if it makes any difference.

I received my phone on 12/8/14, let it discharge, and then charged it up. Granted, I'm working on conditioning the battery and I hope that when the battery is optimized, it'll serve my needs. My screen on time is very low. I have brightness about 40%, bluetooth on, location services on (GPS off), 4G LTE always on, and wifi always on.

My prior N5 had random battery drain as well as my S3.

New here... Just got my Moto X on the 13th. While I'm not blown away by the battery life (I'm coming from an S5 Active) it gets me through the day without any issues.

I have noticed it is hard to duplicate the same results day to day, but from what I can tell it's the screen that uses the most battery life. Screen is on auto brightness and set at about 50% and WiFi is always on. I have 3 email accounts synced and Google now turned on.

How can you get 5h of screen time with more than a day away from the charger?

I can get about 4h of screen time but it doesnt last more than 12h because I get like 2% battery drained per hour while in stand by.

Looks like they only turned the screen on about 5 times the whole day?

First day on 5.0.2. Better than I have ever gotten on KK.

Here is today's results. Still getting about 4 + hours screen time... I removed the Facebook app halfway through the day and switched to web use only as I heard it drains a lot of battery. I'm impressed that my phone has been off charger since 6am.

Can anyone give me any advice on how to get the battery life the rest of you are seeing? I got the phone used recently and I've been very disappointed in the battery life I have been seeing. Screenshot_2015-02-27-22-21-55.jpgScreenshot_2015-02-27-22-22-17.jpgScreenshot_2015-02-27-22-22-25.jpg
