I think it the lack of customization and only 16 gig. But I'm not 100% sure.

Only difference is you can customize. Internals are the same

I think it just crashed as soon as they relaunched with a lucky few getting through. According to @MotorolaSupport no orders are getting in.

Same thing, can't check out with Moto X. I did choose Moto Care. I don't think it's a bad deal for $85 for an insurance/support/replacement.

Depends on whether or not paying $85 now + $39 deductible is worth the replacement of your device if you manage to destroy it . For, since I'm buying off contract, I'll have a carrier upgrade so if I trash my Moto X I can always grab one for $50 or less via my carrier subsidy. I can't say that I've ever destroyed a phone in my life though.

Looks like both DE models are sold out. @MotorolaSupport replied to someone's tweet about the VZW DE model and said that version was gone. I tried to buy a GSM version and got a message saying "An item in your cart is no longer available" when the order went to process.

This is the Android version of the Obamacare site debacle...

Couldn't decide between the Dev version and the T-Mo custom. Website problems made my decision easy. Dev version for me on the way.
