I've decided on yellow back, black front, and black accents. Idk that I want yellow, even though I've always wanted one.....but I figure I'll try it and if its just bad then I'll return and get something different. Yellow looks different in just about every picture I've seen.

Bit the bullet and went with the Dev Edition so I don't have to deal with this anymore.

Moto Support just tweeted that a small number of DE versions are available. I grabbed one.
Definitely not what I wanted, but at least it's something.

I worked all night last night and stayed up all day today for this phone. I emailed Moto to express my frustration with the promo, but not holding my breath for a meaningful response. I have to give up on a Moto Maker version. I have work again tonight and need to sleep.

I had a Verizon Dev edition in my cart, and was half way through the checkout process, but just couldn't do it. I don't need 32GB and wanted to wait for motomaker. I hope I don't regret this.

It's like they have no experience with selling anything online. This has taken way too long, they obviously don't know what they are doing(or aren't very good at it).

Decided to just get the verizon developer edition. Not worth waiting any longer at this point since all I wanted was an all black one from moto maker.

I decided to just go with the DE as I plan on adding an otterbox and no one would ever see the custom colors. I just added the Verizon DE Moto X to the cart and it let me check out. It gave me free 2 day shipping also.

This was almost a bragging point to iPhone lovers that such a powerful phone could be so cheap. 6 hours later we're still waiting...not much bragging can be done now.

Motorola's making more Developer Edition units available to help with the Moto Maker site issues. If you can "settle" on one, you can save yourself some time by just getting one of those instead.

Moto just posted 4 minutes ago that there are dev editions for verizon and GSM again. If any are interested.

Feel bad for everyone who can't get their Moto X. Thought Moto would have this handled to get this phone into more hands.

Well I dropped my motomaker design to get the dev edition and was told its out of stock...so now I'm out of luck all around and have to redesign one

Lets me add Verizon DE to the cart and go through the whole checkout process but when I hit process order it says that items in my cart are out of stock.
