Moto X cyber monday sale

All I can say is that they better not open it up just after I start my evening commute and I miss out as a result. That will really hack me off.
I was at Disneyland when they were selling for $205 at Dell, even though that was a mistake. Not sure if the people who bought them ever received them :p

Today????? Does that mean it could actually last more than a day??? For ****s sake they're supposed to be one of the worlds high-end cell phone manufactures but they can't get their site up in less than 24 hours????

I'm sure it's not helping that thousands of MotoX hopefuls are clicking refresh every five minutes (I know I am).

Jingky: Hi, my name is Jingky. How may I help you?
DYastrab: Just wondering. I wanted to take advantage of the moto x $150 deal today but haven't
been able to to moto maker because your site has issues. What should I do?
Jingky: We had an extraordinary amount of traffic to our Moto Maker site this morning. We are working
quickly to get Motorola.com back online. Kindly check back within 30-40 minutes.
DYastrab: I've checking in every half hour. Is there really a chance that it will be up?
Jingky: Yes. We are working on it.
DYastrab: ok. thanks.

I finally closed my motorola.com tab in chrome. Every 30 minutes or so I open it back up and check and see if the cart will let me check out.

If the deal doesn't kick in I really have a tough decision to make...Verizon has that crazy deal on the new white G2 that is today only. Hmmm

I like this comment on the motorola support twitter page... seems to me that they are dodging bullets right now... also, I just tried to chat online with a representative to get this error message after waiting 10 minutes, "There are no agents available to chat with you right now. Please try again later."

Thanks to everyone hanging in there on our feed. Apparently we've hit our tweet limit for now. Hope to be back responding soon!

I figured it out !!! Its a conspiracy for retailers to extend Cyber Monday into two days...they are setting up for Cyber Tuesday and make it a new tradition duh!

I don't think, outside of this AM, that MotoMaker ever really didn't work. You just can't get past the shopping cart. At times MotoMaker has only allowed you to email your design and not "checkout."

Earlier this morning you could build and add to cart but now you can only e-mail your design to wait for the shopping cart to open up and be able to order the phone.

I'm beginning to think this has nothing to do with web traffic and more to do with their internal programming. Their site started running into issues last night. There is no way they were getting hit with traffic that would dump their site. And even if their site crashed due to high traffic, then why is the rest of their site accessible? This is an internal programming error and whoever was responsible for getting this set is wholly responsible for the botched job. Yes, just like the healthcare.gov site. It wasn't the traffic, it was the crappy programming.
