How much do you use touchless control?

"nudging", or even picking up, the phone, does not turn the notification back on. Maybe there's some setting I ought to change? I have to pick it up and hit the "on" button on the side. I do this many times a day, almost always nudging the phone in the process of hitting that button. I'm quite certain it doesn't do that, at least the way I use the phone.

Other than "nudging" not working (which is 100% consistent, and not what I think of as a glitch) the active notifications aren't glitchy. But a bunch of other things are a little glitchy on my phone. I think "Settlers of Catan" (the game) messes it up, but it is a little glitchy even when I don't play that game.

fwiw, I'd be happy to have BOTH an LED and active notifications. I like the quick summary of what the notifications are -- almost as good as the interface on my beloved Pre. I just wish I had a little light that was on when I had new email, and off otherwise.

The only setting set for me is settings>active display, ticked on,and under that settings where you choose the one you want to show.
There is also info above that settings describing when it wont display.

how often is your friend going to be doing that around your phone?

He is my friend and colleague who often sit together. Both of us have Moto X and more often than not, my phone picks up his Ok Google Now phrase :)

I believe all language processing on Android phones and iPhones use data.

May be true. But, I was curious why Internet is required when the service which processes the command and the language pack are already available in the device especially for the basic device related commands like opening app and calling people.

Mine does.
Great. I have tried many times since then. When I am outside the house or office, it just struggles to pickup.

Noise cancelation could be very much improved as far as Touchless Control is concerned.

I don't believe that everything that is necessary to do the language processing is on the phone.

I think it needs to be something unusual and not too short so that it won't erroneously start all the time and mistakenly dial people, etc.

I am not sure what you are talking about?

Maybe I'm just daft but I can't seem to get the phone to open an app and play a song with voice commands. I use google play music and have the boxs checked for voice commands etc. I haven't fooled with it lately but it would be nice to get it to work.
