Moto x pure bad viewing angles?

I've only used my new moto x pure edition for a few minutes and I can already tell the viewing angles are really bad. Just slightly moving the phone in any direction causes the screen to change colors. Even my old galaxy s3 looks way better even at severe angles. I was just wondering if this is normal or if I possible got a bad display with my phone. Thanks for the help!

I don't notice that at all. I do have some light bleed only noticeable in the dark, but viewing angles are perfectly fine by me.

Well I guess that's good to hear. I'll have to call them and see if they can replace my phone because my screen doesn't seem right. Thanks for replying.

Just out of curiosity, how much darker does your moto x pure display get when you put it at an angle? Mine seems like it's at least 25% darker and that's not even at an extreme angle. I don't know if I'm just crazy or there really is something wrong with my display..

I don't notice issues with darkness on mine at all.

How much of an angle... mine is fine to about 30-45 degrees, then the brightness seems to drop about 25% but it still clearly visible even at a 60 degree angle or better.

Remember that your Samsung Galaxy S3 had an AMOLED screen, not an LED screen like the X... the technologies are different and some things like viewing angle are different, an LED screen uses a filtering system inherent in the display which reduces brightness when viewed at angle significantly more than an AMOLED screen.
