Re: Moto X Pure Edition: Share Your Design

Makes me rethink my future order of champagne/bamboo....decisions, decisions.

I really like mine. I debated either wood or leather back, but read mixed reviews (leather not as premium as expected, wood a bit slick to grip) so opted to put my $25 into more internal storage. Besides, I spend more time looking at the front of the phone than the back. ;-)

So now that you have had it for a little bit do you still love the Bamboo or would you change if you could? I went with Cognac leather and now I kind of wish I picked the Bamboo

I got mine on Wednesday:
Is White and Champagne with 32 gb.
The blue looks phenomenal and goes great with the white in person.

Re: Moto X Pure Edition: Share Your Design

How does the leather back feels with this texture ?
I really want a leather back on my Moto X Style but I don't know how is the handling with the texture, could you tell us more ?

Hi - when I first got it, the device was a little slippery, but after a few days it became easier to grip, not sure if it's the oil in my hands or just the leather ageing but it's definitely easier to hold. I don't regret my choice, it still smells great, looks great and feels great. It looks better now I've had it for a week than it did when I first took it out the box.

As for the texture of the phone, the leather back has a sort of cross-hatched texture to it - but you don't really feel it if that makes sense - it almost feels smooth.

I think the wood / leather back gives the phone a premium look to it.

Arrived yesterday, a full week ahead of schedule. Cognac back, black front, grey accents:

Yes it clearly make it look more premium tht's why I want a leather back, thank you for the informations !

The Cognac is my favorite ... I would take it with a white/champagne face and trim and a Champagne accent.
But I am style on the edge of hitting the buy button ... paying more than 500€ is not something I can do easily ...

I absolutely love the bamboo back. It's obviously a wood back but light in color/tone and the vertical striping just simply seems to make the device just "pop" in visual nature. I loved the 2014 version and I love the XPE version (though it's got a bit more of a darker orange hue to it). Bamboo is absolutely my favorite.

Can anyone tell me what is the engraving in the white phone sold by Amazon?
http://www.amazon.com/Moto-Unlocked...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU4733240
I want to see it in real pictures and take a look at it.
Also if anyone has the Black I would like some photos.

Unfortunately in Europe you can't use Motomaker outside of UK and Germany and so my only two options is the white and black from Amazon.
Any help greatly appreciated.

That's good to know ! I hope they make it for all EU countries though. It's a bummer.
For the people with white backs, how is it going with dirt and stains. Are they satisfied or did they regret getting a white phone?

I've had mine for about 2 weeks now and am loving it. Obviously, this pic is from the first day, but the leather has already started to darken a bit. I really think it's going to "wear" very well.

I went with a Nexus color way: black screen, dark gray frame/accent, white back. 32gb internal storage, no engraving.

We've got the exact same phone :) I agree - I'm loving the leather cognac back. It's darkened quite a bit since I first took it out the box, but I like that - it has a unique look to it.

looks really good - no leather back though?

Still didn't push that "buy" button, waiting to see what Android 6.0 on my Nexus 5 will give ...
And even if I would love that big 5.7 screen I am waiting to see the reviews on the new Nexus 5

Yeah, I noticed that yesterday. I thought, "that guy has great taste!" Ha. Seriously though, I really think the back is going to age beautifully. I can't wait to see how it turns out.

I've had my white back one for about a week and it's handling them great. I lay it down screen first when I know there's a lot of dirt just to be extra careful.
