Moto X (second generation): Pure Edition

Anyone know why you can't order the pure edition in 32 GB? The website keeps telling me its not available on Verizon with the front color selected. Doesn't matter what color I select and I never specified a carrier.
I don't see it available on Verizon in any configuration on Moto Maker. You're talking about the 2nd generation X?

I still can't get my Pure Edition in 32gb. Hopefully before Christmas they can get there supply chain together. I guess they laid too many people off at there Ft Worth Tx plant.

I have been unable to get the 32GB Pure Edition as well. I was getting an error, !Change Required - The 32GB option and the selected front color is not available for T-Mobile at this time, when I picked the unlocked version. During a web chat I was informed that 'it seems like the 32gb for the 2014 is out of stock right now.'

been out of stock for days

i imagine as soon as it comes back in stock it will go out of stock within minutes again, especially with verizon (apparently) opening pre-orders on friday. good luck if you want a 32gb new moto x in the next couple of months :)

I just left the Verizon store and they had a displayed Moto X. I'm so disappointed in how it looks.

It was the bamboo back and I do not like the way the device looks. Specs are okay, but battery size is lacking.

I'm taking this phone off my list.

Phone junkie

I am now officially irritated with Motorola to the point that I may pass on this phone.

After trying for over a week to get ATT and Motorola to rectify their Next Plan conundrum with the MotoMaker (failed), now I get on this morning and am unable to order an unlocked 32GB phone with a black face. The MM won't even let me select black as a front color!

To be fair, it appears I can order a white-faced one (which I don't want) on 4-week delay.

I guess good for them for creating artificial demand, but good grief. What a cluster of a rollout. Makes me question what kind of product support this thing is going to get if the *sales* pipeline is this unprofessional/unprepared.

One day too late... sorry to hear, but I ordered mine yesterday morning. I was waiting for ATT to get the Next Plan working also, but decided yesterday morning to just order the Pure version... I think it's a good choice and I don't regret my decision.

I worry about this too. I've been waiting since 9/18 for a phone that I was immediately charged for and cannot get a straight answer on when I can expect delivery. Their site says 10/13, but their reps can't verify that date and say it could be longer. At this point, I can't cancel the order because it's "in production". At this point, I don't care how good of a phone the Moto is. Mine is going back as soon as it arrives. I just don't trust Motorola to do the right thing.

That business of charging the credit card on check out and then not shipping for almost a month is really starting to irk me, too.

I ordered on the 16th and also have expected shipping date of 10/13. By the time this thing arrives, it'll have been a month since I paid for it. . That cuts into my extended return benefit with American Express.

I got an email on the 19th saying they'd started assembling my phone , which got my hopes up for a faster shipping date, but nothing yet. How freaking long does it take to assemble my phone? Is have been happier not hearing anything.
Really big fiasco in my opinion, leaves a sour taste in my mouth over Motorola.

Everyone is different. I understand that you don't like the pre-charge situation. In my business, that's pretty par for the course, so I'm not worried about it. I wouldn't sweat it until you get near/past your delivery date. But I understand, regardless.

On my front, FWIW, I got impatient yesterday and went ahead with a white face order. Didn't really feel like waiting for weeks, but I want the phone and figured I may as well get the process started since I wasn't going to buy a 16GB version in store.

We'll see how it goes...
