Yep. I'm amazed how many are pre-ordering without seeing a review. With a company as questionable as Moto when it comes to the camera, that's a ballsy play. Or maybe camera quality is of no importance to those pre-ordering....

In the review that compared flagship photos (I think Gizmodo) I felt the low light photo wasn't terrible at all and not much worse than any of the other flagships. It is a hundred times better than 2013 Moto X that would have cast a washed out green haze on the scene. Honestly, I don't think my Canon Elph SD1400 (admittedly a few years old now) can do much better in Auto mode.

No real pre-order risk, If we are thoroughly disappointed we can return it for a refund!

I love that combo, that was the first one I put together!! I am deciding between that (white/champagne with champagne accents and royal blue CSR back) or (black front/gray with black leather back and blue accents OR red accents.) To bad I can only do one phone!

I can't click on the white/champagne front now, I wonder if they've suspended new orders for it.

I did notice that you have to order the 32/64 to have the white/champagne option.

I've to get this up to $549 though so I can get 18 months same as cash with Motorola finance. Guess 64 gigs will get it to $499 and then some kind of case.

If you get the protection plan, does that count toward the $549 threshold? It just says the purchase amount before tax must be more than 549. I hope so.

I got Moto Care with my 32GB Pure Edition and was able to do the 18 months.

Yes I think so. My 64 gig was $499 and I added the protection plan and checked out with Moto credit and the 18 month no interest plan.

Has anyone seen a good explanation of the feel of the silicone back? I'm assuming it has the same amount of tack as a soft touch material with some texture to it? Just don't want something that grabs on to the inside of my pocket.

Excluded Accent Colors (or 'First World Problems: The Thread')

The Moto X Pure is very exciting to me for several reasons. Since I live in the middle of nowhere, Verizon is the only reasonable wireless carrier option and the idea of a fully customizable phone with expandable storage that I can also root is just not something that happens. I have last year's Moto X and I love it (except for the standard Verizon bloat, branding, and other bologna).

The one thing that I'm missing on the Pure is the purple accents I've come to love so much on my current X. I've also noticed a lack of green accent option. What accent colors or back plates are you all missing this year? What is your perfect, but unavailable, style combination?

im torn between this two backs, and i want to know the owners impressions who have one of the above backs and how durable and grippy are both backs

I'm coming from the Gen 1 Moto X with a soft touch back. The bamboo is slippery as hell. I like to set my phone on the arm of the couch I'm sitting on, and it'll slide right off if it's on an angle. I like it, but NOT grippy.

I went with the bamboo and would have to agree it is pretty slippery. I'm using the bumper that came with and it helps though. Might be a little scared to go necked with the bamboo. Love the look though!

Agreed on the bamboo being slick. I'm using the bumper too. Xtremeguard has a 90% off sale right now so I got a couple of their clear back skins...that should add enough grip for me.

I have a black/slate/dark metal trim on the way too this week. I haven't seen a great hands on photo of the slate so I'm looking forward to seeing it. I'll upload some side by sides with my ash grey back too.

Thanks guys! That would be awesome. I was hoping it would be a light gray. I don't mind a slight blue tint but hope its not baby blue or anything that extreme.

Thanks for the quick reply! I feel better about my decision now. I was worried about it being too bluish. I went with champagne gold accents thinking it was gray. I guess if it comes in too fugly I'll just use my one do-over.

Cognac Leather Pictures?

So I ordered the cognac leather and originally expected it to be here tomorrow but due to some recent short comings on Motorola's part I'm not sure when I will see my new phone. I'm curious what it might look like and would love some help from someone that has the cognac already. If anyone out there already has the cognac leather back and is willing to post pictures of it I would greatly appreciate it, I can't find anything online. Thank you in advance for your time and generosity.
