I've been hearing people say front, back, and metal piece. The trim is determined by the front (light for white, dark for black).

But I wonder how champagne is available as a trim then if it's always based on your front color?

A bit disappointed to see some of the colors missing that were available last year :-(

Front/trim go together.

Back is separate.

So is the accent.

I think I'm going to go with white/champagne royal blue csr back. I've to get this up to $549 though so I can get 18 months same as cash with Motorola finance. Guess 64 gigs will get it to $499 and then some kind of case.

Probably means they have data that says those options weren't popular.

Disappointed I can't get a true test run on Mm for color options. Won't appreciate being under the "pre-order" gun today. The G is closer in back design than the regular X. Why isn't there thus option yet to play around.

In the past how have cases fit with the optional backs? I usually use cruzerlite cases but if I wanted to try wood or the silicone. Then decided to put a case on how is the fit?

They fit the same in the past.

With weighing in at 11mm at its thickest point, I'd be curious how much thicker I could handle with a case on it too.

Have you had a moto x or n6 in the past? The curve makes the thickness much less noticeable

Is that rubber? Or is it a more rigid material?

No, I haven't. That's why I'm a little skeptical of the thickness. I held a Note 5 which has similar numbers except the thickness.

It's a silicone rubber material. I love the white back. Anyone with experience with this type of material have input on how it cleans up if dirty? Some of the case that were similar didn't clean at all.

Coated silicon rubber.
