Moto X - Switch bands on Dev Edition

So i'm on T-Mobile and i got my GSM Dev edition phone.
wondering how could i switch to the 3G band since you know, 4G is killing my battery and i would like to even go as low as 2G for days that i know i won't be checking my phone but having it available if needed.

tried on the network settings but could not find much also tried with power toggles app and didn't switch.

any idea?

If you can find a way to get to the phone information menu in the testing menu you can do it from there.

I don't have the dev edition but there's an app/toggle LTE ON/OFF in google play store, it says for HTC One but it works flawlessly on my motox.

It's madam. LTE ON/OFF is the name of the app. Icon/logo is a lightening bolt.
