Moto Z/Force not getting Google Assistant

Apologies if there exists a thread about this already or a thread about the subject. I did search through several pages of threads but couldn't find a thread on the subject.

But Google announced the Google Assistant is coming to all devices running 6.0 or 7.0. Their website shows several devices that are getting it but Moto Z / Z Force is not listed.

Now I use the Z Force, running 7.0, Google Verizon 6.14.12.21.arm64 and Play Services Version 10.2.98... All, according to Google is what you need to get Assistant on your device that all Samsung and LG users are reporting getting. (Google Verizon higher than 6.14, Play Services Version 10.2.98)

I web searched as much as I could and can't find anything, nothing saying it isn't available, no troubleshooting, just keep hearing I need patience for the updated Google Version... Which apparently I have.

Any troubleshooting recommended or is my phone just not getting Assistant?

I honestly think they just didn't list every phone on marshmallow up. It's a staged rollout so I'd wait a bit and see.

Well the only thing that makes me think otherwise is all the articles are saying when you update to Google Version 6.13 it will have Assistant, and I have 6.14

You have to have the update AND they have to enable it for you at the server. It's staged so it could be a while.

Quoted again... Even with the updated versions, Google still has to bless your phone. You might get it in 5 minutes or 5 days... Depends on where you are in the rollout.

I'm a little impatient I guess. And not seeing it on the Google Assistant support site now has me worried I wasn't getting it. Just traded my GS7 Edge for this and would be pretty upset if the Samsungs got it and Lenovo's didn't.

Yes I did. Gladly. Charged it multiple times a day, slow opening apps, flashing the color of the app icon before even pulling it up. And this ain't my first radio... cleared RAM, used stock Touch Wiz with animations off, tried launchers with sped up animations, curved screen got in the way when using landscape... Only thing good about Samsung is the Samsung exclusive apps and the pictures. Too many cons for me to and I was a firm believer in Samsung since the GS3. It was between this or the V20. I chose battery life and water resistance over camera and removable battery.

Love my droid. But probably will go with the G6 when that drops.

I already got the assistant on my MXPE, even before the nougat update. The Z will get it if it hasn't already.

I use Moto voice...And honestly Google assistant's made zero difference so far in the ways I use it. Maybe time will tell
