I'd be gravely disappointed if the display were only 4.7". One of the LG-centered rumors I've read said it would be 5.2." Now you're talking.
I don't want 5.2"

You'll get used to it. I thought I'd never want 5.5", and I quickly got used to that. 5.2" would be a piece of cake.
I find the nexus 4 body very comfortable. If they can cram 5.2" on the nexus 4 body I will be a happy camper.

But I know myself well. 5" is really REALLY pushing it for me.Comfort is a relative thing, my friend. I used to think I would only be comfortable with a physical keyboard.

My personal opinion is that Google is out of it's league when it comes to customer service and dealing direct with customers through out the process of purchasing devices. Each of my experiences purchasing Nexus 7's has been a poor one.The nexus 10 was a different situation. That screen is what held up that production.
There were also indications that LG was not up to the task of producing enough phones for Google. They also were completely out of their league when it came to forecasting where sales occurred.

I've had quite the opposite experience. I purchased the Nexus One, GNex, N4, and 2 N7s (2012), and never any issue.
