Crossing my fingers and hoping this includes a better/faster CPU (OMAP4) and more RAM. Must admit I'm very intrigued!

I'll consider getting the Bionic if it has a minimum of 1 GIG RAM and no WebTop . A bonus would be the sAMOLED+ screen but I'm willing to forego that.

If those specs are met it will be a toss up between this device and the Galaxy SII. That screen on the Samsung is hard to pass up though. Latest hands on videos/reviews are also a testiment to the quality of the handset.

I want to like the Bionic so lets see what Sanjay comes up with.........

Has anyone played on T-Mobiles claimed 4G network? Is it decent? by decent i mean faster than Verizon's 3G network?

I am really trying to hold out for the Bionic but the lack of information and the unknown (unknown specs, form factor, launch date) is killing my patience... *sighs*

Only thing keeping me holding on to my dying Droid OG is knowing I wont be happy 2-5 months from now when Verizon releases a dual core 4G LTE phone...

But that's the problem with Instant gratification, its short live. But man I would like to play with the GSII or Sensation while I wait for Verizon and Moto to get their act together.

I agree, I will NOT wait for anything after tiered data hits. Once I hear a solid date for the end of unlimited, I'm buying the best LTE phone that's available at the time. Whether I'll keep it and be happy for 2 years, or sell it in a few months and buy something else full retail depends on my funds, and what's available by then. Likely I'll be happy with whatever I end up getting, just because a new device comes out doesn't make your device any slower.

As far as Tegra, I'd say its about 50/50 at this point. If Tegra2 is working just fine and wasn't the problem, I doubt Moto would spend the money to change it. But the general concensus is still that Tegra 2 is what was causing the LTE radio issues, meaning there's a good chance we'll see OMAP4. But if there's a smaller LTE radio, that may have fixed the issue and Tegra 2 is still a go. BMX did say it would be getting updated for bleeding edge specs, and Tegra 2 isn't bleeding edge any more. OMAP 4 beats the Tegra2 with an overclocked SGX540, NEON SIMD engines, and a dual-channel memory controller, so I certainly would not be disappointed if this ends up being in the Bionic. I definitely would expect 1 gig of RAM, hard to say if a new screen is a reasonable expectation or not though.

Either way, he said he'll update us when he hears, so we'll likely be the first to know the essential specs of the update, possibly before any pics leak out.

Tegra 3 isn't here yet, and a slide-out keyboard would likely make it the next Droid, as in Droid 3. I'm not too big on the qHD screen compared to S-AMOLED+, but I doubt it will change by the time this device comes out. I am hoping for OMAP 4 and 1gig ram though, that can't be too much to ask.

I'm starting to feel pretty overwhelmed at this point. I'm just ready to ditch this Versa and get a new phone, but I don't want to grab something and wish I had waited a few months from now, and I know I'd get crazy buyer's remorse selling a perfectly good phone and buying another at full price a few months down the road. But if this new Bionic is still a flop, and/or it doesn't come out till after tiered data, and we don't see the GS2 LTE until after tiered data, then I'll feel like I wasted my time not getting the Charge now.

Still, all I can hope is that the Charge comes down in price and gets some sweet kernels and ROM's developed in the time I wait to see if I should get something else or not.

There will NOT be an LTE version of the GS2 that is not significantly reworked, and significantly more portly.
