I think it is a type o. Why would they say New Droid Bionic? And remember The Mediacenter fact page had the Specs and now this page is that page is showing. Ignore the Date and look at the 2nd paragraph..

Ahh ... I didn't read the whole thing. Doh ... I stopped after the first paragraph and said this is old.

I think the one positive is that they "officially" state a summer release. That's a good thing. There is an end to this fiasco.

Let's hope it's not the beginning of a new fiasco! I would hope that Moto would be pretty sure as they wouldn't want to make another "mistake!"

I hear ya! It's pretty bold to put out a timeframe, particularly one that can be pulled up as an official statement from them at any time, as consumers will hold them to it. In large part, I believe that's why you don't see it too often. That said, "summer" is a pretty broad timeframe, but at least we also know that it'll be in the next few months. It's actually probably enough of a statement for me to hold off and see what the new Bionic will be.

Well, I'd hate for them to go by the strict definition of summer based on the solstice, but rather the commonly accepted feeling of what summer is. I would hope that by "summer" they mean before kids go back to school. I'm expecting anytime before September, although I think I'm gonna set a hard date for me to have my new phone by the first of August. If the Bionic is not out by then and no reliable news that it would be out soon, then I'm pulling the trigger on something else.

If you have an OG Droid, try some of the custom ROMs out there. I threw Cyanogen 7 on my phone and it made a huge difference.

I plan to hold out. Yeah, I am desperate to get something better/faster/etc but the smart money is on just keeping your powder dry for a bit longer.

Yea i did the whole rooting/custom rom thing for awhile, but after awhile, there were some issues with those as well. I'm just done with my Droid, my upgrade has been waiting since december of 2010, and i dont know how much longer i can wait. If they dont announce something by the end of may, i'm going to have to consider other options ya know...but i so want that bionic/targa/new phone from moto. i dont have much hair left to pull out!!!!

I am with you on that one. I am not going to settle because I am impatient. I will wait until the end of the Summer with my Storm. I have been thinking about buying another DX. But I think I can still deal with 5 reboots a day until the end of the summer...

I am growing impatient as well. If I decided to go with anything before the Bionic comes out it would honestly be with a different carrier. The only reason i say this is because the only other phones i wouldn't mind owning would be the GS II and the HTC Sensation. Having said that i am not a fan of HTC, but the phone impressed me from what i have seen of it. The bad news is, they are both being released on T-Mobile!!! Why Verizon Why???

i hear that...i'm not going to drop some cash on a phone just because i'm sick and tired of how slow my droid is. We all know that there will be a better phone two months later, but at lease i will have one that will last me a good two years.........hurry up MOTO!!!
