Moveable and delectable programs

Good evening all. I've been searching this forum and I cannot seem to find a thread related to what Gingerbread system programs can be forcibly moved to the SD card or, even better, removed altogether without harming my OS.

Even my rooted programs are not movable. I have limited experience and that is why I've only ventured as far as rooting my device. I'd love to flash a new rom, but I am not that confident as of yet. What can I do in the interim about all the bloatware?

The safest way to do it is to do a nandroid backup, then install a custom ROM. Most of them remove the bloat to start with. Most of us find this out on a per-ROM basis and some are safe to remove, but cause a loss off functionality (e.g. removing Browser.apk stops you from putting a bookmark shortcut on a homescreen for use with another browser.)

Hey Leslie Ann has a thread just for this. Well it's actually for the optimus v but it would probably be a good starting point. Its called "apk's their purpose and safe or not to remove". It's stickied in the optimus v roms rooting and hacks. I would throw a link but this damned tapatalk sucks for things like that (or I just don't know how to use it lol. Could be either one)
