Moved to iOS

so I live my pixel XL 2 but OMG the iPhone x is the first iPhone I can say I like the fluidity on this phone is amazing there both great phones but as I getting older I find myself like slightly smaller phones

Update after using iPhone X for a couple of weeks:
Surprisingly I’m not bored of iOS yet. I think it’s mainly because of how good this phone looks and how well everything works. Sure I miss OK google and google now. Siri sucks in comparison. But overall it’s been pretty good so far. For some reason I love the Apple mail as supposed to many android mail programs I tried. Hard to explain. I do a lot of emails on my phone. Camera on pixel 2 is definitely better. Stellar battery life on iPhone X. I get more than 9 hours of screen time and I use app this phone more than pixel 2. Thai’s is a big on for me. Lasts easily the whole day which was never the case with pixel 2. Most of the apps I use are so much better on iOS. So far so good. I’ll keep you posted as I use it more

I feel like I have the best of both worlds right now. IpX for work and pixel 2xl panda as my toy lol.

The iPhone X IS a very liquidy smooth phone. Refreshing isn't it? It may not be as exciting as some of the Android handsets but it is extremely polished. Since it starts at $1K should we really expect anything less? I gotta be honest, my Note 8s seem pretty smooth too and I can't imagine what else I could want them to do (besides offer better battery life).

In the past 4 month I have my family all 1k phones me myself the pxl2 and iPhone x my bro the iPhone x and my mother the note 8 so over for smoothness iPhone hands because it's so closed in the note nest looking screen and pxl2 still my main bottom ***** lol because all I can do with it. Bit as for the note 8 I can't seem to like it

Pocketcasts. Highly recommend. Probably the best podcast app for android / iOS.

I quickly purchased pocketcasts for iOS (I already have been using it for years on Android) when I got my X. The Apple podcast app is garbage if you ask me.

It’s strange. I absolutely love the Apple podcast.

First of all, considering I have been using Pocketcasts for so long, I am simply used to it.
Secondly, I do not like the way the Apple podcast app handles my library. This is more a personal preference as I just find it annoying. I also find the purple accents annoying lol.
And lastly, it doesn't play nice with the bluetooth in my car. For whatever reason, the buttons on my head unit do different things in the Apple podcasts app than what happens for every other app that I use for music or podcasts. It is really strange, and therefore, not very useful for me. I love that Apple lets you delete their apps now, that is refreshing.

I definitely have to agree with you on the quality and polish of the apps on iOS. The smoothness of the OS and battery life were big pluses for me when I was on the 6plus. That was about 2 years ago. I never had to worry about the battery life on my phone. I would use it heavily all day at work and most days it would be around or above 50% battery. That was from listening to podcasts and music as well as checking social media and watching some YouTube. I'm sure it's improved from then quite a bit. I just got bored with the os and frustrated with the limitations. It was the little things like not being able to have my icons on the screen where I wanted them to be.

I couldn't understand a word you typed

I have spent the last 2-3 years usually owning a iPhone and android phone and switching between them, if you forced me to choose though I would have always gone iPhone and was an apple person.

Now though I have flipped and I would take android all day long if you made me pick one. It has been a slow conversion but I think it was iOS 11 and the IPX that tipped the balance. The lockdown has always been there (just compare gboard on both) but I have found iOS 11 the buggiest iteration yet and whilst hardware wise I love the IPX I dislike so many things about it and the overall experience.

iOS still lacks so many features that I like too and when I read the rumours that iOS 12 would be stability focussed my heart sank a little, yes iOS11 needs it's bugs ironing out but I really do not want to wait until 2019 for things like an AOD or redesigned home screen. Starting to think that apple has jumped the shark under TC....

Update after using the iPhone X for a couple not months now:

I’ve never touched my Lumia 950 even once which says a lot to me as I always go back to Windows phone when I buy any android device.
Recently went I. A Disney trip with kids and took my Lumia 950 for photos. But n get ended up using it. The iPhone X battery amazingly lasted the whole day for about 13 hours in the park. Always used for GPS, photos and wait times for rides, emails and Whatsapp. I never had a phone that has this kinda battery life. Even though the battery size on iPhone X is quite small Apple seem to have mastered the power optimization n this device.
Can’t see myself going back to android again. May be if Microsoft comes up with the surface phone.

Yes. It did for the first couple of weeks. But after that I’d to charge it around 7pm. May be its due to the apps I was using. IPhone X lasts till 11 or 12. Based on my usage iphone battery is definitely better than pixeL 2 XL

My Pixel 2 XL lasts all day with 5 hrs SOT

It will really depend on your usage pattern. If you use your phone a fair amount, the Pixel XL2 will outlast the iPhone 10 handily, and also the 8+. If on the other hand you're not using it much, the iPhone's standby time is insanely good and it will win. SOT time just search YouTube for comparisons. All of them that I've seen show the Pixel XL, the Samsung S9+, and the OnePlus 5t outlasting the iPhone for SOT.

Yeah I'm with you. My iPhone X battery life is way better than my pixel 2 xl. Always has been. It's crazy and now that I can use wireless charging at my desk I could get buy without charging overnight and I use it alot throughout the day.

Been using my Pixel most of the day and at 11:54 pm I'm still over 50 percent.

never owned an iPhone, never will. never have even a hint of interest in any Apple. I absolutely hate the Apple ecosystem.
