Moving a SD card from Note 2 to Note 4-anything major involved?

I mean, I dont think so, but if I move the card over, and everything on it should read fine, once for instance I get the text message sound randomizer app again and tie that to the directory on the card that has all my notification sounds, etc?

About the only problem people seem to have periodically is the phone doesn't like the older card's format or firmware.

It makes it really slow, or constantly wants to index the card, causing huge drains on the battery.

If you notice any degradation in performance after you swap it over, you might want to consider a new card.

Any apps you have moved to the card have to be moved back to the phone (they're not really installed on the card as files, pieces of code sit in the card to be called by the app that actually sits on the phone). Then install the apps in the Note 4 and move them to the card.

Otherwise, I've never noticed a problem moving a card from one phone to another. Data files are data files. Either phone will play an mp3 file. (The "index" is remade every time you start or restart the phone, with Media Scanner.)

If your SD card is over 3 years old (the average life span according to Samsung's Memory Manufacturing group) you may wish to get a new and faster card. From places like Amazon, especially when on special, SD cards from all the major players are available at very very reasonable prices these days.
