Moving contacts saved to my Samsung S6 Active device over to Google

[AC Question]

I have a Samsung S6 active. I have a lot of contacts stored on my device that are not syncing currently with google. How do I get them to back up to google? I have gone into Contacts/Settings/Manage & Back up contacts/Import Export but there is nothing that allows me to choose Google to back up to.

Welcome to Android Central! If these contacts are saved to the local Phone account instead of your Google account, you have to Export the contacts to a .CSV or .VCF file, then import them into your Google Contacts.
