Moving pictures to external microSD card

How do I move pictures from the internal memory in Gallery to the external microSD card storage to free up more space in the internal memory storage. I recently bought the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and added a 64 g microSD card. I want to move pictures from the internal 16g storage to the external microSD card. Please give me each step in the process.
