Mr2 day 5

Ok, so I spent 15 hours driving from Texas, through Arkansas, Tennessee, and into Kentucky with Google nagv and data running the whole time and didn't have a single reboot!! Gps worked flawlessly as well. I would say the update was a success!

Oh, and it was mostly 3g but I hit 4g and 1x several times, seemed to bounce from one to the other pretty seamlessly.

Hi All,

I would like to know is this a leaked update? I have been out of town so have not been on the forum. Do I need to check for new updates via my phone? Thanks in advance.

Yes it's the leaked OTA that will fix the rebooting issue that is supposed to go live push by the 15th or 16th of June.

Everything great here. I had some serious sluggishness/freezing in my Messaging app, but I think I just brought too many texts over after the restore with MyBackup. Once I deleted them, everything is great. GPS locks in under 5 seconds, no reboots, and I haven't lost 3g once.

My problem was my phone would not switch betweek WIFI and 4G well. I almost had to turn WIFI off sometimes for it to go 4G (LTE)
This was the patch before MR2 i was using.

The only problem that I have had is Slacker radio keeps wanting to freeze and force close after only playing one or two songs. Gets quite annoying bit other than that this is working great so far.

I read one report of seemingly improved battery life yesterday in one of these threads

It would make sense if we saw some battery improvement, since the phone is not working nearly as hard to maintain data and find satellites.

There are some minor issues I have with the MR2. Reboots are happening when WiFi is toggled on. This has happened four times. No reboot when WiFi is turned off. Some of the additional HTC widgets won't install. Tip Calculator for one. Also the leaked Skype doesn't load.

Maybe a dumb question, but I have to ask anyway. I never received (or could force) the most recent OTA. If I manually load this leaked version, will I be completely up to date or will I be missing something by never receiving the latest OTA?

You will be completely up-to-date.

Ok, 28 hours of Google nav in the last 2 days and not a single reboot. Seven states worth of 1x, 3g and 4g so that is a pretty good sampling. I was using iheart radio today and did notice a short lag when switching between 3g and 4g but I doubt its possible to switch and not have some sort of lag. I still say this Mr2 update is a success.

being that it isn't the official update that you installed i wouldn't call it a success. I would wait till it actually starts to push out before i would say it is a success or not.
