AC Question

I have a Motorola Razr HD XT926, running 4.4.2. Computer is Win7 64bit.

Neither PTP or MTP will work and they have worked previously, same phone/cable/computer. It was a while ago, so I cannot pinpoint what has changed. This phone will work connecting to another computer on Win7.

The Motorola Device Manager drive will show up and allow that to install. This only says "There are no updates for your device at this time. Current Version: N/A"

Device Manager has consistently brought "This operation requires an interactive window station." when searching for drivers.

This sounds like a driver issue. I'd try deleting all drivers for your Moto Device from the Device Manager in Windows, reboot, and re-install the Moto Software. I know that helped me once but on a Samsung.

I've uninstalled the Motorola software and uninstalled the MTP device from device manger.
After the computer restarts, it tries to download the MTP drivers but fails again.
"
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

This operation requires an interactive window station.
"

The Motorola Software gives the same error as previous.

Try a different USB port on the computer. (Don't use a USB hub - connect directly to the computer.) If the phone connects to a different computer it's not a problem with the phone, it's a problem with the computer.

I understand its a computer problem, I just cant seem to find the problem.

I've plugged it into different ports and the MTP driver still cannot be found.

Have you tried to run the Motorola Installer on Safe Mode in Windows? I don't think it'll just find the driver, I think you need to install the Moto software, but if it's not letting you...

No, this issue with MTP/PTP has been going on for some time now. Last windows update was 7/14, but I had same problems before that as well.

I tried going into safe mode, uninstalling MTP and reconnecting the device, and using the Moto device manager. Same error messages as above.

The MTP drivers are the same version and date on my second computer as the one having issues. I really cant find where the issue is. Not a single MTP device can connect.
