Multi-phoners‽

I have been using the Note 10+ for a year now. I used to have a Note 9 a long time ago and decided I missed it and some of the features it had. The camera is quite fantastic on it for being an almost four year old device. I also miss some of the little things that they don't put on phones anymore like the headphone jack, notification led, physical finger print scanner, iris scanner, notchless display. So recently, I ordered an Ocean Blue 128gb one from Amazon which has been mostly a pretty good experience. At least this time. Lol I have been burned in the past by amazon renewed.

I decided to keep and use both devices. For now, I have been using the Note 9 as my daily and the Note 10+ as my backup, using it as more of a tablet like experience. As good as the Note 9 is, I couldn't bring myself to part with the Note 10+. It's just too good.. Lol. The nice thing is with having two devices... I can switch my sim card back and forth and use whichever as my daily driver whenever I want. Nice to have options lol

^^^ Exactly. While I no longer have the phones I did when I started this thread I will continue be a multi-phoner as long as possible. For me, it's a fun hobby-ish endeavor and has been for years. My other half thinks I'm cray-cray.

If it was up to me, I would have the Note 8, Note 9, Note 10+, Note 20 Ultra and maybe a few S series phones like the S10+ and S21 Ultra

...But I'm not made of money lol

P6 as my daily driver (5G)
P4 as my camera (unlimited Google photos + it's so small!)
Note 10+ as my gaming/media/sketching device

On a side note, has anyone else gotten what's described as "cyber sickness"? It's from too much screen time, but I'm thinking I've been getting bouts of vertigo because I'm constantly switching between a 90hz screen and a 60hz screen. It only started happening recently, and I thought I was just tired, but it happens whenever I'm looking at my Note 10+. I'm thinking there's something there, as I've always looked at screens all day, and the only time I've gotten dizzy spells is when I've been actively and constantly switched from one refresh rate to another for whatever reason.

As much as I'm looking at screens I'm surprised I don't have "cybe sickness".

Yeah, apparently it's a real thing, and being that I'm 41 and have been using screens for decades, the only time I've ever felt like I'm getting vertigo is when I started using multiple phones with varying refresh rates.

I don't get it. Do you all have separate numbers for each phone? Separate email accounts, apps, texts and stuff? How do you keep track? Personally I can't even stand carrying my one phone.

I guess my other question is why?

My other half has accepted it but sometimes it's gotten some confused looks. 🤣

That's a good question. I can understand one for work and one personal (though these days you can combine the two in most instances) but, beyond that, I don't get it.

Galaxy S22 (AT&T) for work, iPhone 13 Pro Max (T-Mobile) for personal, and Pixel 6 (US Mobile VZW) for emergencies sitting on my desk at home. No particular reason, I just love phones and tech.

I do have separate lines but I just move my main SIM to whichever phone I want to use. Ie., did a 50 mile bike ride today. Didn't want to take the S22Us so I put my SIM in my Note 9 and off we went. When I just go jogging I just leave one of my spare SIMs in the Note 9 and forward calls to it.

I use one phone as a Wifi device and the other as my actual phone. Lately, it has been the Note 9 as my primary and the Note 10+ as my backup.

It is. But having an old school Samsung device with no punch hole, an iris scanner, led notification light, physical finger print scanner, and most important of all, a headphone jack, is also quite nice. I also quite like the camera on the Note 9 in certain circumstances.

Sometimes nice also having a phone thats a bit smaller. The note 10+ is huge in the hands, particularly with a case.

I have a Note 9 too and it's not bad but it can't even pretend to compare to my S22Us...but it hasn't been bad as a "beater" phone.

Not sure what a beater phone is lol Do you beat the phone?

Personally, not into Samsungs newer devices. Anything past the Note 20 Ultra honestly, and I'm out. Too many features taken away for me personally. Thats just my opinion though.

It's a phone that I use in/take to scenarios that might be rough on a device or cause the device to get dirty or damaged, i.e., hiking, cycling, rock climbing, sky diving, etc.
