there was one time I had either audio or video in Opera (i think, or Firefox w/Flash i can't remember) and I went to other apps. the sound kept playing.

i haven't tried reproducing this.

In regards to the OP - I use an app called "stick it" for this exact purpose and for watching small vids while surfing. Costs 2 bucks but is way more stable than the free ones that I have tried.

For most people a video stopping when you leave the Page makes sense - even for me most of the time. This app fills the gap when I want a different behavior.

Using a PC, I often listen to videos running in a browser tab while reading other websites in different tabs, simultaneously. Disappointingly, my N7 pauses the video/sound once I switch to another tab. The music app has no problem playing in background while using other apps. Is there no solution for browser tabs?
