I looked around a bit but saw no good answers so I'm posting here. I want to change the theme for the multimedia station screen. The current one is nice but I want something a little less bright. Is there anything available for this? Also is there a way to have the button lights timeout? They're very bright and annoying at night.

Even though it does have a button to dim it, its still pretty bright.

If you're rooted you can use the brightness hack which lowers the brightness more, but then again if you're stock there's not much you can do

Yea even with the dimmer on it is quite bright. I'll check out the brightness hack though. What id be most interested in changing though, is the soft button backlight. They stay on and that really contributes to the light. It sucks.

I'm not sure if the low brightness hack would help that..you could always power down the screen completely by locking it, but then again, it loses its functionality as a clock

Download the app "LEDs Hack", it will shut the lights off when you put it in a dock. (requires root)

I didn't think that would let you turn off the soft buttons lights, at least, I couldn't get it to work for me..just the top LED

It turns off the top LED, bottom LED's, and the trackball LED (if you had one). It works great in my dock. The only thing I don't like is when i put it in my car dock it turns the menu LED's then too. (no big deal though, you can just use the icon in the notification bar to turn them back on). You can even control the lights for when you plug the recharger in also.

o, and you can configure it so the lights come back on when you undock or unplug the phone also.
