Multiple Gmail accounts?

I have three gmail accounts. My Moto Droid will allow me to check them all within the one Gmail app. My wife has an HTC Droid Eris. Her Gmail app only allows one Gmail account. Is there any way to enable multi-Gmail account functionality on the Eris without having to resort to the standard Email app?

So I'm assuming from the lack of responses that this can't be done? None of you who own an Eris check more than one Gmail account?

HTC's official response is that the Eris supports 10 accounts; 1 Exchange, 1 integrated Gmail, and 8 other POP3/IMAP4 accounts.

You can if you want to use two of your home screens for email. I use the htc mail widgets for my two accounts. That's the only way I know how.

Functionality isn't in the HTC products or maybe it's 1.5. I have 3 accounts one is the master account that syncs with the phone, the other two are run through the mail app.

Oh and I'm on a Hero, assume the Eris the same.

The only way I could do it was to set up my main gmail account and then set up the other gmail accounts as imap. Works well

I have 3 gmail accounts. But in Gmail, I have one as the master, and the other two come into its inbox. That one master is what I sync to my Eris. If you open and reply to an email from "account B", then that's who it shows as being from.
