Multiple Languages

[Android Central Question]

I used to have English and Afrikaans dictionaries installed and could type in either language without having to change. The autocorrect would not try and correct another language. Since nougat I have to now swipe the space bar and select the language I am using otherwise the autocorrect goes nuts? Why did this change?
