I have a fairly generic Android tablet. In the settings, it allows you to choose from a host of languages, including Polish.

When it comes to selecting a keyboard, however, the situation is different. Polish is nowhere to be seen.

I can type in English, I can type in Russian, but nothing allows me to use any of the accented letters unique to Polish.

I have noticed that numerous people have raised this matter on several forums regarding a wide range of Android tablets. Interestingly, it does not affect Android smartphones.

By the way, the tablet is an Archos 97c Platinum and I have contacted the manufacturers, with no reply.

Quite obviously, nobody wanted to make typing in Polish a possibility. Why is this? Why is there so much hostility to this language?

Yes, I have.

So too have nearly all of the other people reporting this.

Google's Gboard, for example, is advertised as having multiple language keyboards. However, when you try to select them, it only gives you the same choices the computer's operating system makes available, which does not, as I said, include Polish.

The only way of typing in Polish would be a self-contained app in which text can be entered into a specific field and then pasted elsewhere. No app simply enables the Polish keyboard which can then be used in other applications such as search engines.

Yes, absolutely. That's because I noticed that all of them had appeared after the reply to the post which showed that the suggestion was completely useless.

I'm sure if a moderator posted 'Have you tried installing fish paste in the trumpet chip?' you would have done the same.
Since you're into looking at who likes people's suggestions check my profile and the other members profile how we help members in the forums.

You have a specific question for you doesn't mean it applies to everyone and if we don't have an answer don't go looking to call people out for likes on a suggestion, like really.
