Multiple storage tiers for the Moto G4 Plus

The G4+ has multiple storage tiers of 16 and 64 GB of internal. You guys think this was a good move? Should the lowest tier have been 32 even though this is a budget device?

Being a budget device I think 16 GB is enough for many people, specially in a phone with SD card for your media files. I don't quite understand why they decided to jump to the 64 and not having a model with 32 GB though. Too many models, I guess.

For $250 price range, it is fine... You can do 32gb but you would probably sacrifice something else...

I think $250 for 16GB is too expensive, especially when 64GB is $300. They should have started with 32GB at $250.

Well we just ordered one for the wife to replace her Moto G LTE first gen. I think its gonna make a great upgrade for her personally. I got her a 64gig/4gig RAM version because she eats up the space on the 16gig version. Granted she had it for over 2 years. A dip in the lake finally ended its life! I think she will be happy and I was happy with the $299 price tag. We have not and will not buy devices on contract. Haven't in 4-5 years now!

Seems the 4 / 64 GB version is out of stock now on the moto maker websites! I Just ordered the 4/ 64 GB version on Monday with white front on Monday and the website then already said the black version was out of stock. When I checked Yesterday afternoon the white version was also out of stock, so no more 4 /64 GB versions available any more?

Oh and they initially said it would be delivered around 29th July, but I just checked the order status and it is now boxed and ready for pickup!

Coming from a Lumia 620 and 920. I was so impressed with the Moto G3 2 / 16 GB I had bought for my wife two weeks ago, performance of the G3 is fantastic and Android (Marshmellow) is finally up to level... so I decided it was time to switch phones.

Yay! Wow! I just got my 4/64 and didn't realize they were already out of stock. I love my G4 plus and hope you love yours too!

Agreed! But the 64/4 is a better bang for the buck I think. (In most cases anyways.)

Well it seems the "out of Stock" is over for the 64GB /4 GB version for the UK en DE markets!

Here in the Netherlands you can only buy the G4 Plus 16GB / 2 GB version for EUR 269 which just does not make sense to me. So glad I got the 64 GB / 4G for just around EUR 330!

Just out of interest how quickly did it ship after it said it was ready? I ordered 64gb a couple of days ago and said it would be available 10th August but within a few hours it said it was built and ready to ship. It's been sat like that for a couple of days now though....

Thursday 21st the order was boxed and picked up for delivery. Then a couple of days without updates and then suddenly Sunday afternoon (24th July) it had arrived in the UK and it was delivered the next morning.
