Music Dropouts when phone writes?

Ok...

I recently have come across an issue when playing music.

Doesn't matter if the music is on the internal / sd card / streaming.

It appears that this happens when ever I am downloading updates/installing or getting a gps lock or if the phone starts doing something in the background.

This is a fairly new issue as the music will start to drop out during playback (0.5 seconds or so) and will continue until the phone stops doing whatever it's doing ion the background.

Anyone have any ideas?

Can I assume you tried a reboot? It could it getting low on memory. I agree that something is happening in the background. Maybe stopping any apps that you don't need until the problem goes away might be helpful.

I've tried rebooting, yet the problem is still there.

Wondering if there is a way to track what is running in the background
