Music (either in Spotify or downloaded mp3s) stopping for no reason. What gives?

Recently, I have been having a very annoying problem plague my EVO LTE.

I download a MP3 (podcast) every day and listen to it at night. Last night, as I am doing my chores and listening to the podcast (in Amazon MP3), it stops on me three times. This requires me to stop what I am doing (usually washing dishes) reach into my pocket, wake my phone, and press play to restart the podcast. Minor, I know - but it is starting to happen a lot more often.

This morning, I decide to listen to a downloaded playlist on my 30 minute commute into work. In that 30 minute span, the music stops 5 TIMES! So, while I am driving, I have to reach down, wake the phone up and press play again. 5 TIMES? That's well beyond a minor annoyance.

This happens every so often when I am using Spotify or TuneIn, but I chalk that up to bad signal or the fact that I am actually streaming something live. My issues lately have also been with downloaded material - which shouldn't stop at all.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? It is driving me crazy.

I guess I am happy that no one else is having this problem. But, it continues to REALLY be a problem and I am considering
selling my phone and moving on. Tonight for instance, I attempted to listen to the Radio feature of Google's Play Music app.
Not even one song through, it stops. I have to grab my phone out of my pocket, wake the phone, and press play again. No network
or internet issues at all.. this is all HARDWARE. Anyway, so I hit play and slip it back into my pocket. 30 seconds later, it happens again.
3 times before the first song I attempted to listen to was OVER. So, I switched apps to Spoitify.. same thing. 2 stops before the first
song was over. All I use my phone for is email and music - and this is VERY, VERY annoying. This is my 4th HTC phone, and most likely
my last - unless I can somehow remedy this problem. I have reset this phone before to try and fix the problem.. downloaded everything all
over again - yet, the problem still remains.

I'm having the exact same issue. It doesn't matter what app I use, my audio stops at random intervals. I primarily use Doggcatcher for podcasts and Spotify for music. I've had two HTC Evo 4G LTE phones, both of them have had this issue.

Mine is doing the EXACT same thing... And this has literally only been for the last 4 days. Nothing changed that I could possibly think of.

I doubt its model/carrier specific ... hopefully something on that thread will help you HTC friends too.
