Music Files Moved / Deleted / Renamed

I have my music files on an external SD card
I noticed some missing songs, so removed the card and re-copied.
Put it back in the phone and looked in file manager before I had even started a music player app.
Some files were deleted and other moved to a new folder

What could be doing this?

Looks like a faulty micro SD card.
I thought the music files were being overwritten, and that is how it looks in Windows, but when I refresh it seems they have not updated.

Something similar happened once before with a Sandisk card and they replaced it, but I think this time I will go for another make.
Maybe Lexar, Kingston or Samsung
