Music keeps playing during phone calls?

All,

On my new Moto X (2014), when I'm listening to music via bluetooth (regardless of whether it's a headset or in the car), and I receive a call, the music keeps playing after I've answered the call, so I need to open the notifications tray and kill the music app (regardless of which it is). On my old Motorola phone, when I received a call while music was playing, it was pause the music. Is there any way I can make sure that answering phone calls pauses the music. It's kind of annoying to have my callers listening to whatever music I was listening to while I'm frantically trying to kill off the music app I had open.

Thanks!

I have the nexus 6p with android 6. All music apps do the same thing as described, music keeps playing when a phine call is received and answered. The only other factor is I'm using google hangouts and dialer.

Update, after some messing around, it has to do with me using google hangouts/dailer. I call the phones actual number and the music stops while on a call and then resumes after I hang up.

This happens to me occasionally. I have no idea what Carter causes it, but my guess is it's related to bluetooth. There is another thread about bluetooth issues with this phone.

I am having the same issue on my Motorola X Play, running android 6.

The problem occurs with bluetooh and normal headphones and regardless of the player.

Any idea?

I'm having the same trouble on the Motorola Droid Force Z running with Android Marshmallow. So far I've had music playing during calls while connected to either bluetooth in the car or aux cable (via USB type C to Aux) connector.
Also, I've had music continue to play when the car turns off. This isn't something that used to happen with my older motorollas.
