Im a previous iphone fanboy and am really loving the S3 but the music player is driving me nuts. I listen to several podcast that I update from itunes through keis. Ive tried several podcast apps and none of them offer all of the podcast that i listen to. So im stuck having to listen to all of my podcast and songs all together on the google music player. Problem is, if i stop a podcast half way through, and later decide to listen to some music, then go back to the podcast, it will not hold its spot where I stopped listening. I setup all of my podcast into a seperate playlist, thinking that might solve the issue. That it would hold its spot, but no, it did not. I probally use my smartphones as a mp4 player as much as I would text and surf net, so this is a pretty big deal to me. If anybody has any ideas, please let me know. Bout to the point of going back to my iphone.

Thanks,

I use BeyondPod to listen to my podcast. It syncs with Google Reader. Any podcast I can't find using the app's search function, I usually find it in Google Reader and sync it to BeyondPod afterwards. Hope this helps. You can do a trial of BeyondPod and see if it works for you. The app is $6.99 I believe.

If you don't see your podcast in the podcatcher app, just type the full URL into the search function. Works for me on PocketCasts.

I use (and like) BeyondPod but none of the Podcast Android systems (that I can find) work with any Paid Subscription Podcasts like iTunes does as almost all of these are setup for iTunes because iTunes has the security necessary to handle pass through Userids and Passwords that pay Podcasts need. So I look forward to using the Music Player to play those paid subscription podcasts on my S3. Once my Music finally completes uploading...
