Muting Phone, but not ringer for in-coming calls?

It is possible to mute the phone without muting the ring when receiving a phone call?

I'm giving up my land-line so will only have a cell phone. If I don't mute it at night, I get a sound every time an email comes in (including from spammers) and it wakes me up in the middle of the night or early morning.

You can turn down every sound except calls. That is done either going into settings, or just click the volume rocker, and when the slider comes up the icon on the far right opens up volume settings too.

Actually the quick settings next to volume is slick, better than digging through settings menu.

Light Flow can mute everything but the calls automatically for a preset time range. Just a satisfied user.
