mx player won't play web videos

Since I updated to marshmallow all my web videos are played by the default player and doesn't give me a choice anymore . I use to use mx player but I've tried everything and nothing will work .

Open system settings > applications > default player (media player) > clear defaults. If that does not work uninstall mx player and reinstall it.

Tried all of that still doesn't work . Will play regular videos but does not come up when you try to watch web videos .
