My 6 month old Moto E no longer has speaker sound, can I fix this?

System seems convinced that headphone is attached at all times

Lollipop 5.1 is native operating system for Moto E, checked every setting I could find and all showed sound on and turned up

Hi, if the phone thinks that headphones are connected all the time then the issue probably will be with the headphone jack. Have you tried plugging in headphones then removing them again to see if that helps? I presume you've tried to reset the phone also? Might be worth while talking to Motorola about getting it repaired.

Make sure nothing is jammed or sitting in the headphone port. Try headphones like mentioned above if nothing is found stuck in the port.


You have a 1 year manufacture warranty so I'd also suggest contacting Motorola for a replacement.

Have you recently dropped it or got it wet in the last several weeks?
