My case solution for the GT.....

With the lack of cases, etc., I thought I'd pass along what I did to try and keep this beautiful piece of equipment VERY safe and secure.

First, went with the Belkin Ultraslim Folio Case/Stand (NOT the Verve one) from Best Buy. Pricey (Acer one is 20 bucks cheaper at Target - grrr), but I like how it keeps the sleekness and thinness of the GT. NOTE - IF YOU GO TO BEST BUY, THEY MAY NOT HAVE IT IN THE RIGHT SPOT. I looked online, confirmed it was there, went to the store where it wasn't in the right spot. I had to relocate it :-)

2nd, found a netbook/iPad/tablet sleeve at Walmart, made by Wenger/Swiss Army for 16.97. Has a pocket for the charger cable/usb/etc., and the tab in the case fits great and snug. It's lined pretty well, too.

FWIW......

Here are a few pics of the case first, then the sleeve. It's definitely nice 'naked', too, but I'm going to be using this in some tricky environments (outside for one) and I needed some extra grip/protection. Hope this helps.....

It appears to add quite a bit of bulk to the Tab :-(

If you're someone looking for a case or pouch for your Tab, I highly recommend the official Samsung leather pouch and/or the Samsung Book Cover case.

They both provide great protection, but more importantly, also retain the thin and sleek form factor of the Tab.

Adding so much bulk to the Tab with the case or pouch seems to takes away from the design; in my opinion anway.

I did look at official case, I just didn't trust myself to wait for the order :)

As far as bulk, the case itself is very thin, adds very little to the sleek design. That's why I wanted a sleeve for transporting it. You're right though - the pictures add 10 lbs. :)

i bought the 10.2 inch netbook sleeve made by incase at target

Hah, I did the same thing last night. I sold my iPad 2 to get the Galaxy Tab, and was disappointed to find that the Tab was a few cm too long to fit into my old incase sleeve. It provides plenty of padding, and at $30, doesn't break the bank.

I love it, now I just need a harder case for when I want to take it out of the sleeve.

Bought the belkin at BB. I wish I'd tried it on in the store. It's going back not because it's lousy but because it's such a tight fit that it's impractical to put in and out with any convenience. Why does that matter? Because I have the keyboard. Darn! Nice case though.

Perhap if I had a bt keyboard it'd be just right!

Good point about the keyboard. Hadn't thought about that. It definitely is a snug fit.
