My fellow D1 people must be moving up.

Froyo allows you to install some apps to the SD card. Not all can do it, but at least this way you'd have more room for more apps.

Yeah I have noticed that and I've taken advantage of it. Whatever apps I have that can move to SD card I have moved. I love the concept!

Honestly the D1 with root and custom ROMs should last just as long as the G1 did. So save some cash and resist the urge to get an early upgrade. Wait till the Droid (Ultimate) shows up with 4G, Dual core 1.2 GHz CPUs, front facing camera, Higher quality camera lenses, Higher resolution, unlocked bootloader, Motorola's specific location aware software, Android 4.0, and the end all of superphone performance.

Speaking of keeping the Droid 1 current, anyone gotten the FRG22D OTA, yet? I thought I'd actually wait for this one, since I forced the 2.01 and 2.1 and 2.2.

Day 7 or 5, depending on which report you believe...nothing yet.

"Your system is currently up to date."

Honestly the D2 was kinda lame.

It was like making the iPhone 3G and 3G S . Ugh

So you got the d2 I didn't even look at it due to it being like going from the 3g to the 3gs to small of an upgrade to warrant another 200 and contract extension

OH heavens no!

I used it at a local retailer and yawned hardcore

Perhaps the Droid 2 can be a warranty replacement for the D1, once they run out of refurbs, that is. However, it may be easier to talk your way into a Droid 2 than when the only other phones were an Incredible or an X.
