My first Android and...

If the person sending from an iDevice brings up your name and your number and email are associated with your Apple ID, it would by default send it as an iMessage, because you have devices that use it. You will have disassociate your number with your iMessage account if you want to receive all texts normally.

Thanks, I figured it out.

That's because iOS is so simple. :p and welcome to the android club :)
I really love the freedom of it, the ability to do what I want. I've noticed the os' of both android and iPhone are similar. The only "flaw" if that is the lag, definitely not as smooth and polished as iphone, but that doesn't bother me. I've had no problems with the note so far. Never using Android before, I'm not sure what flaws to look for. Although, the market can get frustrating with all the error messages.

I'm still needing help. I've checked my support page and it doesn't even show I ever had an iPhone, dis-associated my Air iMessage from my phone number, was getting texts just fine but had to swap out phone for other issues and now not getting texts from iPhone users. Asked one friend to check my contact on his phone and it isn't listed as an iPhone, just mobile.

Like previously stated by someone else, I'm not going to ask all contacts to delete all text threads from me. That's not an acceptable solution. What else is there?

That's annoying not having the badges for notifications, also I haven't figured out how to close open apps. This is driving me crazy. Lol

Welcome, as use to be an iPhone user and I wanted that too.

However, I'm glad it doesn't have badges as it will drive me nuts today.

I rely on notification panel. It will tell you what you have missed or need to view.

Good luck
