My future Evo 3D and my iTunes library

Hey guys, I am super psyched to pick up my new EVO 3D on Friday, but I am trying to get all my affairs in order first lol. I am moving from a Palm Pre which flawlessly synced with iTunes (9.1), which worked really well as I have about 25 gigs of music and only wanted to move over checked songs. That is still true here, I have no need for all 25 gigs of my music to be on my phone, I only want the specific checked ones. I was doing some research in the forums and looking at doubleTwist, isyncr, TuneSync and sailing and none of them offer checked song syncing. The closest I have found is DoubleTwist's drag and drop of the specific songs I want as well as my driving playlist. Has anyone found any other programs or apps that would allow for only checked songs to be moved over? Thanks guys!

You could upload all of your music to Google music beta and then create your playlists there. That way the songs won't be on your phone taking up space but you still have access to them.

What you can do is make a playlist with all your checked songs, and point the playlist to DoubleTwist.

Exactly, just get the Google music beta. Once I got music beta it asks you if you want to up load your entire itunes. Select yes then go to bed. When you wake up your itunes are floating around in the cloud.

It could take a while. I had to wait a couple of weeks for my invitation. But once it comes, its a glorious thing.

Is amazon free? I only use Amazon to store the music that I have purchased through them. I use Google music to store my CD and iTunes collections.

Same here!! I hope i get my music beta invitation soon! Is the interface pretty intuitive and do you like it?

I think Google music is unlimited and free. I will check though.

I do like it. For a beta it looks fully baked. I've been ripping CDs like mad. Feels good that I can access my entire music collection anywhere without using up valuable space on my phone or computer.

If I doc my pre to the computer it does not see any of the music I pulled over from iTunes, only the music I brought over from a cd.

I don't want to install iTunes on my new system...is the only way to do this on my older system where iTunes is located?

I think so. iTunes hides the music on your pre with some weird format that makes it harder to pull the music off of your iPod. There may be a way to do that but I never could figure it out.

And thanks guys, I guess Ill just have to drag and drop. Google music sounds pretty awesome, but I primarily listen to my music when I am driving and sometimes that's for hours at a time, and I cant imagine the drain on the battery with having to be connected to google music the whole time.

If you are in a car, then why not just use a car charger?

It should be no different than streaming Pandora.
