Hi all, I have run into a very annoying issue that I have yet to fugure out, please help.

Everytime I'm listening to music on my phone, as soon as the screen times out or is locked, the music (and the application I'm playing it from) is killed. This happens nearly every time without fail. If it is not killed at screen lock/time out, it is killed anytime I try to use the web or any other application seperate from the music application.... This happens on any music application I use, whether it's Slacker Premium, Orb VPN to my iTunes, Power Amp, or Planning Center Online. Anything....

So far I have tried clearing the cache for all those applications and restarting my phone but that made no difference at all. I've seen talk that google listen caused this for many models but my phone does not have this specific service. I have tried putting all music applications and services on the ignore/white list and that made no difference either. I've tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the applications but that did nothing either... I downloaded the application "no lock" and deactivated the lock on my phone but that made no difference either.

I'm fresh out of thought and I AM NOT reformatting my phone. I've done that 2-3 times already and is total bs if I have to do it again. Only thing that says is this phone is trash. I am running Gingerbread 2.3.5. on the Samsung Galaxy S SGH-I897. Any help is welcomed and appreciated. Thanks!

So I ended up running through the forums for forever and discovered that twitter was causing this to happen... How that is is very strange since it's totally unrelated to music lol. Anyway, problem solved.

And the solution was apparently only temporary..... uninstalling twitter and tweetdeck, then clearing cache and restarting only decreased the rate and timing at which this issue occurred. However, it's still doing the same thing. I've tried uninstalling a lot of third party applications I don't use a lot to see if they were causing issues as well. I also uninstalled the secondary task manager and GoLauncher and reverted back to the standard 2.3.5 default versions. This fixed it but only sometimes, a bi-polar resolution. Sometimes it will play music fine and then sometimes I have hell getting any music applications to work. If I press the home key, it's killed; if the screen times out or locks, it's killed; if I go into another application, it's killed. I'm fresh out of thoughts for the cause and resolution for this, other than it could just be that my specific model doesn't handle 2.3.5 very well. Or that 2.3.5 is just buggy. This would make more sense than anything, being as I never had music problems at all until I upgraded to 2.3.5.. Any insight and assistance is greatly appreciated. This issue is getting so very old lol.
