Something really strange has just happened; my Tab A has just, literally about 15 minutes ago, decided to stop recognising my unlock pattern. I know the pattern I'm entering is correct, I was using it right before this happened!! WTF is going on?? So now I can't unlock my tablet cos every time I try it doesn't accept the pattern and then makes me wait 30 seconds before I can try again, i can't even turn it off or restart it because it asks me to draw my unlock pattern. Please help me, I'm getting really frustrated, this makes zero sense

If you didn't disable the option, you can try to remote-unlock via Samsung's Find My Mobile (sign in with the same Samsung account as the one on the device).

OK, I've tried find my mobile but that didn't work. The tablet did have a screen protector on so I've now removed it but it makes no difference, I still can't unlock my tablet.

UPDATE: I managed to force restart my tablet (guess I wasn't doing it right when I tried before) and thankfully this has fixed it. Still wish I knew what caused the problem in the first place though.

Can you register more than one device on find my mobile though? Cos my mobile phone is also a Samsung and that's already on there.
You can add all your Samsung devices on find my mobile simply by logging into your account.
Also install the companion app Samsung Smart Things and you can even locate your Samsung Bluetooth earbuds and other Samsung devices.

But the unlock feature has to be active (besides activating Find My Mobile, you can opt out of unlocking the device as this means Samsung gets your authentication credentials).
